Atom & Epoch Studio

A private production tool that prepares the owner's own educational videos and publishes them to the owner's own YouTube channels.

About the app

Atom & Epoch Studio is a desktop application that runs locally on its owner's computer. It is used to produce explainer videos about history, science and psychology: from script and narration to animation, rendering and quality checks. Its publishing feature uploads finished videos to the owner's YouTube channels and schedules their publication.

The app is not a public or hosted service. It is used only by its owner to manage channels the owner controls. There are no user sign-ups, and no other person's YouTube account is accessed.

Atom & Epoch Studio uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Why the app requests access to your YouTube account

The app requests a single OAuth scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl

See, edit, and permanently delete your YouTube videos, ratings, comments and captions.

This is the narrowest scope that covers caption uploads, which are part of every publication. The access is used only for the following functions, each started by the owner:

The app does not read or write comments, ratings, subscriptions, analytics, or any data about viewers or other channels.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 4 November 2026

This policy explains how Atom & Epoch Studio (“the app”) accesses, uses, stores and shares information, including information obtained through Google APIs and YouTube API Services.

1. Information the app accesses

Google account authorization: OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by Google when the owner connects a channel.
Channel information: channel ID, channel title, custom URL, default channel image URL, and the ID of the channel's uploads list.
Information about videos the app uploads: video ID, title, visibility, scheduled publication time, upload and processing status, rejection or failure reasons, and the “made for kids” and “altered or synthetic content” settings.
Recent uploads list: IDs, titles, dates and visibility of the channel's most recent uploads, read only when needed to recover from an interrupted upload.

The app does not request your name, email address, contacts or any other Google account data beyond the YouTube scope listed above.

2. How the information is used

The information is used only to provide the publishing functions described above: verifying the channel identity, uploading and configuring the owner's videos, scheduling them, and showing their current status in the app. It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or to train or improve artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

3. Where the information is stored

All data stays on the owner's own computer. The app has no server, cloud database or user accounts of its own.
OAuth tokens are kept in a local secret store that only the owner's operating-system account can read. They are never written to project files, logs or version control, and are sent only to Google's OAuth and API endpoints.
Video status records (see section 1) are kept in local project files next to the video they describe, so the app can show the publishing status and avoid duplicate uploads.

4. Sharing

Information obtained through Google APIs is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party, and is not transferred to anyone except Google itself, as part of the API calls listed above. The owner may use local software tools, such as an AI coding assistant, on the same computer to operate the app; such tools act only on the owner's instructions, and the app does not send Google user data to them as part of its publishing function.

Atom & Epoch Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Cookies and information stored on your device

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. The locally running app sets no cookies and does not use browser storage for Google data; its interface is reachable only from the owner's own computer.

6. Retention and deletion

Tokens are kept until the channel is disconnected. Disconnect in the app deletes the stored tokens and can also revoke the app's access at Google.
Video status records are refreshed from YouTube while a video is being published or scheduled, and are deleted when the corresponding project is deleted or on request.
You can revoke the app's access to your Google account at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After revocation the app can no longer access your YouTube account.
To request deletion of any stored data, contact us at the address below. Requests are handled within 30 days.

7. Children

The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new effective date.

Terms of Service

Effective date: 4 November 2026

Use. Atom & Epoch Studio is a private tool operated by Atom & Epoch for publishing its own content. It is not offered as a service to the public.
YouTube Terms. The app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app's YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The Google Privacy Policy also applies.
Your content. You remain responsible for the videos, thumbnails, captions and metadata you upload, and for having the rights to publish them. Before every upload, the app shows a summary and requires explicit confirmation.
No warranty. The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Upload, scheduling and processing outcomes ultimately depend on YouTube.
Revoking access. You can disconnect a channel in the app or revoke access at Google security settings at any time.
Changes. These terms may be updated; the current version is always published on this page.
